Frequently Asked Questions

  • Can I use self-study courses to get an advanced degree?

Yes. The self-study prerequisites will get you well on your way, and at least one option with our university partners will allow you to complete your advanced degree online exclusively. Go to the Master's Program area on this site to learn more.

  • What’s the advantage of self-study?

You work when it’s convenient for you, no matter what time of day. You work at your own pace to complete the courses.

  • How do I get CME?

You will take a CME evaluation after each course. If you are in our Master’s or CPE program or a certificate program, you will take an additional online test to qualify for credit. Tests typically take 30 to 75 minutes, but you have up to 120 minutes. Tests must be taken in one sitting. After passing each test, your transcript is updated automatically. Then you will be able to claim CME right from our website.

  • When can I start?

All self-study courses are available immediately after purchase.

  • Is there an evaluation process for these courses?

Each CME activity includes an evaluation process to determine that the learning objectives have been met and that the activity was of educational value to the target audience and was unbiased. The evaluation also assesses whether or not the CME activity resulted in a change in physician practice behavior and offers participants a method of feedback.
